Application Guidelines - Spring 2018
Application due February 16
Project due April 23

Want to help educate the public?
Want to tell your story and make a difference in the community?
Have an idea that will capture public interest and promote increased Earth science literacy or civic engagement?

We are looking for projects that communicate Earth-science related issues to the public - exploring geoscience research at Clemson, explaining the science behind modern environmental problems, or linking environmental justice issues to Earth processes at all scales - from global to local.

To participate, tell us your idea for a project by submitting a application. No need to write a full document - just give thoughtful answers to questions on the Proposal Google Form.
Accepted participants will receive $300 upon delivery of an approved project and presentation of the project during the Earth Day Challenge Open House on April 23rd.

An additional $500 Geopaths Fellowship will be awarded to the best completed project (as determined by a panel of judges), and a fan favorite project will win a Championship coke bottle signed by Coach Dabo!

Successful Proposal Notifications: February 21
Progress Report due: March 30
Final Projects due, Presentation at Earth Day Challenge Open House: April 23

$500 Geopaths Fellowship

In addition to the $300 stipend, one completed project will be awarded a $500 Geopaths Fellowship.
