What is an appropriate project?
Projects should center on some aspect of Earth-related science research, issues, or problems. The form your project takes is up to you!
Potential projects could include, but are not limited to:
Describe your idea in the project application form, or, alternatively, contact Dr. Kelly Lazar (klazar@clemson.edu) to discuss your project idea and determine it's suitability.

- Short documentaries
- Interactive maps/tours
- VR experiences
- Interactive displays
- Citizen science
- Learning tools
- Artwork
- Fieldwork videologs
- Infographics
- Photographic journals

Project proposals will be judged on:
- Originality
- Creativity
- Successful communication of project vision
- Feasibility of project within the time constraints
- The project's potential for effectively communicating Earth science-related concepts to your peers
- The project's potential for raising geoscience engagement (Why would people be interested in your subject/want to learn more?)

$500 Geopaths Fellowship
In addition to the $300 stipend, one completed project will be awarded a $500 Geopaths Fellowship.
Projects will be judged on creativity, originality, effective communication of Earth science-related concepts, and the project's ability to raise your peer's engagement in geoscience. Acceptance of fellowship denotes willingness to speak/share your project with others.
