Setting up your geocaching account

First Time Only - Setting up your Premium Trial Membership for Geocaching.com
You must do this in order to see all of the geocaching activities available, unless you already have a premium account. If you are an interested member of the Clemson community but not enrolled in a geology course with trail memberships, please contact klazar@clemson.edu.

1. Create a free account on Geocaching.com. Visit www.geocaching.com/play. Sign up using your Clemson gmail account.

2. After creating your account you will need to validate it. Go to your email and look for an email from Geocaching.com - click Validate Account.

3. This will take you back to Geocaching.com. You will now need to redeem your free trial. Navigate to https://www.geocaching.com/freetrial and complete the form fields. Make sure you are logged in using the account you just created. Use the trial code given to you in class. Click Redeem when complete.

​If you reach this screen, you have completed the steps correctly!

5. Download the Geocaching.com app on your mobile phone - this allows you to navigate to geocaches using the GPS functionality of your phone. The app is available in all app stores.
