Exploring Sea-Level Rise
(315 pts)
Materials Needed: 1) Computer with internet access
2) Google Earth (download the desktop version here: https://www.google.com/earth/)
As the planet continues to get warmer, sea-level rise becomes a greater issue. Some areas around the globe have already experienced negative side effects due to sea-level rise. It is important to determine a method for predicting what areas may also be affected in the future. In this activity, you will test out two different sea-level rise simulations that 'predict' the impacts to coastal areas.
This activity will utilize Google Earth and a NOAA data viewer to investigate future scenarios of sea-level rise. The activity and all directions are given in the Google Form for this activity (link below).
